Anya Katz is an Anthropology major and Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies minor from Brooklyn, NY. She an HIV Peer Tester at Oberlin, and spent her junior year studying abroad in Amsterdam doing research on HIV related stigma in the Netherlands. Outside of Oberlin she has worked for organizations such as The Rainbow Heights Club, The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Community Center of New York, and GMHC. This past summer, she worked as an intake counselor at The Door: A Center of Alternatives. She maintains ties to her prior work in Amsterdam by doing freelance photography for the Dutch HIV magazine, Hello Gorgeous. After graduating in December, Anya plans to get her Masters in Social Work.
