Henrique Veras conducts research in the intersection of development economics, health economics, and economic growth. His current research in early childhood development examines the long-term socioeconomic consequences of early life exposure to malaria in Brazil. In other research, he studies the relationship between economic policies and fertility choices during early modern times. He teaches classes in principles of economics and development economics.
