Harry Chalmers works in metaethics and philosophy of sex, love, and friendship. His current research interests include normative authority, moral realism, the ethics of monogamy and polyamory, and the limits of friendship in a context of heightened ideological polarization.
Chalmer‘s teaching includes courses on introductory ethics, philosophy of sex and love, and the ethics of college life.
Prior to Oberlin, Chalmers was an instructor and teaching assistant at Brown University, from fall 2014 to spring 2019.
