Translation Symposium Keynote Address by Lawrence Venuti

The two-day Jed Deppman Translation Symposium (April 20-21) culminates in a keynote address given by a distinguished translator.

This year’s speaker is Lawrence Venuti, the foremost scholar of translation studies and translator from Italian, Catalan, and French.

Lawrence Venuti’s talk is titled “On a Universal Tendency to Debase Translations; Or, the Instrumentalism of a Translation Fixation.” It will take place on April 21, 2022, 6:00-7:30 pm in Craig Lecture Hall.
