Students for a Free Palestine and Jewish Voice for Peace will present "There is a Field,"  written by Jen Marlowe and performed by Donkey Saddle.

"There Is A Field" is a play about Aseel Asleh, a 17-year old Palestinian citizen of Israel killed by police in October 2000. Based on interviews and primary sources collected over 15 years, the play offers a uniquely personal lens for understanding inequality as the root of state violence and impunity."

"Donkeysaddle Projects creates pieces within the realms of film, theatre, and creative non-fiction, amplifying stories of resistance and struggles for equality and liberation. Working in partnership with communities who have been marginalized and oppressed, Donkeysaddle Projects highlights the people's resilience, courage, and the vital needs they are fighting for.

Our projects fuse artistry and activism into inspiring works that challenge us to stand in solidarity with those agitating for a more just, equitable, freer world."

Trigger warnings: police brutality, racial violence

We recommend staying after the performance for a talk back with the cast.
