A lecture with the Honorable Robert L. Wilkins, United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
Judge Wilkins will discuss his book Long Road to Hard Truth: The 100 Year Mission to Create the National Museum of African American History and Culture (Proud Legacy Publishing) and the Mary Church Terrell connection to the museum.
Judge Wilkins was appointed to the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit in 2014, following a nomination by President Barack Obama. He holds a JD from Harvard Law School and, as an attorney, was lead plaintiff in Wilkins, et al. v. A book sale and signing will take place in the atrium of the AJLC after the lecture.
