Lucas Briffa will be presenting on three projects from the last three years. His work employs rigorous research methods and a directorial approach to art making. From a film preservation facility to the Chicago Police Department and most recently the island of Malta, Briffa investigates the interaction of space and institutions. His work mines these interactions through various media, always with the intention of ventilating the space where these relationships exist.

In our seires, Pathways 2017, meet art department alumni and hear firsthand how they navigated life with a BA in art. Each alum in this series represents a different pathway.

Join the art department for an artist lecture with Lucas Briffa,’12.

This event is presented with support from the Ellen Johnson Endowment for Modern and Contemporary Art.

This event is open to the public and free of charge.
