The conclusion of spring semester marks a time for celebration—and the perfect time to be reminded of the incomparable musical energy that flows through all of Oberlin! In the fall of 2018, musicians representing the college, conservatory, and community came together for a “prism concert” inside (and outside!) Finney Chapel. The result was a nonstop wave of sound emanating from every corner of the room: There was opera in the organ loft and a jazz trio in the rafters, a cappella singers emerging from the audience and brass musicians perched in the balcony. Join us as we relive the thrill of that evening with never-before-seen footage! Our program opens with a greeting from Oberlin College President Carmen Twillie Ambar, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences David Kamitsuka, and Dean of the Conservatory Bill Quillen.
