As winners of this year’s Chamber Music America’s Cleveland Quartet Award, the Verona Quartet has firmly established itself as a rising ensemble and Oberlin is delighted to welcome the group as quartet-in-residence for the 2020-21 academic year.

Meet the ensemble members (including violist and Oberlin alumna Abigail Rojansky '11), in conversation with violin professor Sibbi Bernhardsson, as they chat about their selections for this performance which includes works by Beethoven, Adolphe, and Janáček (plus a little bluegrass!).

Wondering about the name, ‘Verona’? The quartet believes that the essence of storytelling transcends genre and the name pays tribute to William Shakespeare, one of the greatest storytellers of all time.

Read more about the quartet's residency on Oberlin's News Center.
