Oberlin Summer Theater Festival (OSTF) will present Barefoot in the Park, a romantic comedy by award-winning playwright Neil Simon. Set in a quirky fifth-floor walk-up apartment in Manhattan in the early 1960s, the play follows newlyweds Paul and Corie Brattner during the contentious first days of their marriage as they learn how to live together.
This show enjoyed the longest Broadway run of any of Simon’s plays. It is one of three classical productions being presented in rotating repertory during this year’s theater festival, which runs though July 30.
This stage adaptation is recommended for ages 10 and older.
