The movement explorations of standing, falling, and physical partnering that became a hallmark of Contact Improvisation were first developed during Steve Paxton’s 1972 winter-term project Magnesium.

This year's Oberlin Dance Company builds on the enduring legacy of Contact Improvisation at Oberlin with a collaborative performance including theater artists, various musicians, and the dancers in the Varsity Contact course.

Directed by Ann Cooper Albright, chair and professor of dance.

Purchase tickets from Central Ticket Office in Hall Auditorium; $5 general admission.
