Cathy Marshall is a landscape architect, artist and graduate program coordinator and associate professor of landscape architecture at Kent State University.  She will speak on "Designing the Landscape for Enrichment, Uncertainty and Beauty."

Her work focuses on the role of representation of site phenomena and the creative design process through art. Marshall's work is inspired by natural forces and spatial memory to cosmological alignments.  Marshall's cartographic drawings and large format photographic montages reveal the phenomena of change in the landscape making apparent the what is lost or invisible.

Professor Marshall received a BA in architectural history at Ithaca College and an MLA at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
