This is the world premiere screening of the documentary film
Still Dreaming: Frances Walker at 93.
Acclaimed pianist, educator, and Oberlin alumna from the class of 1945, Frances Walker is the first African American woman to become a tenured professor at Oberlin Conservatory, where she taught from 1976 until her retirement in 1991.
This 80-minute film is a 93rd birthday tribute to Walker, who was born in Washington, D.C. on March 6, 1924.
Prior to the screening, there will be a talk by the film's producer, interviewer, and editor, Charles Kaufmann. Kaufmann is an award-winning author and composer, as well as a choral director and a bassoonist.
