The Contemporary Music Ensemble, conducted by Tim Weiss, features Oberlin Conservatory musicians playing exciting new pieces by a wide range of contemporary and 20th-century composers. Featured on this program are three pieces by Roberto Sierra, considered by BBC Music Magazine as one of the best Latin American composers of all time, and our composer-in-residence for this concert.  The program also features guest mezzo-soprano Courtney Jameson, on Sierra's I Am Carmen Miranda, as well as the world premiere of a work by senior composition and TIMARA double major, Rolando Gómez.
