Commencement

Oberlin College will welcome Darren Walker as its 2017 Commencement speaker. Walker is president of the Ford Foundation, considered the nation’s second-largest philanthropic organization. He has been a leader in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors for more than 20 years.

The ceremony begins with a faculty and student procession followed by presentations and conferring of degrees. Event is outdoors and will take place rain or shine.

Commencement is the start of the annual Commencement/Reunion Weekend. Families and  friends of graduates are encouraged to register for this and other events planned for the weekend.
