Oberlin Creative Writing Professor Allegra Hyde will launch her third book, the story collection THE LAST CATASTROPHE. All are welcome!

THE LAST CATASTROPHE is a hopeful, speculative short story collection about how humanity grapples in a world transformed by climate change. The collection has been named a "Most Anticipated" book of 2023 by Book Riot, The Millions Polygon, and other venues. It follows Hyde's debut novel, ELEUTHERIA, which was named a "Best Book of 2022" by The New Yorker, as well as her story collection OF THIS NEW WORLD, which won the John Simmons Short Fiction Award.

After a brief reading, Hyde will be in conversation with author Ariel Delgado Dixon, and also answer audience questions.
