Named after a former Oberlin professor of piano, the Arthur Dann Competition uses the proceeds from a small endowment to fund one Oberlin student in his or her arrangements for performing off-campus. Up to six finalists perform half-hour programs in Finney Chapel for a panel of guest judges.
For more than 30 years, past winners have played in Russia, toured Taiwan, and performed at venues across the United States.
If you are driving to the concert, please review the note below regarding navigating campus and parking at Finney Chapel.
Oberlin recommends attendance for vaccinated people. Everyone is required to wear a mask indoors at all times. Anyone with symptoms should refrain from attending campus events. Oberlin policies are subject to change based on evolving public health recommendations.
Oberlin College’s campus modernization program to improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions and water consumption will cause some temporary road closures and disruptions to parking access throughout campus. You can stay up to date at the Sustainable Infrastructure Program website.
