This in person and remote accessible event will include an alumni panel presentation, faculty presentation, J-House open house, a photo and documentary exhibit of the Jewish Studies' 50-year history, and an opportunity to attend a Jewish Studies class.

Sunday, October 30

  • 5:00pm  “Jewish Studies at Oberlin: Alumni Perspectives,” with David Eaton '71, Amalia Haas '91, and Kendell Pinkney '09 -  StudiOC (Zoom link provided upon RSVP)
  • Dinner to follow, with performance by Shtick-and-Poke student klezmer band

Monday, October 31

  • Morning -  Jewish studies courses (details to come)
  • 11am-12pm  "Judaism in Modern and Contemporary Art" at the Allen Memorial Art Museum, with Curator Sam Adams - Allen Memorial Art Museum (space limited)
  • 12-1pm  Lunch - Heritage Kosher Kitchen
  • 1-3pm  Open House: “To Find it Again”: The Quest for Jewish Life and Jewish Studies at Oberlin College - Terrell Library
  • 4-5pm  “The Present and Future of Jewish Studies at Oberlin” - Johnson House 
  • Reception to follow
