Office of the Vice President

Serving the interests of Oberlin’s alumni, parents, and friends, the Office of the Vice President maintains close relationships with donors and volunteers who help make Oberlin a special place.

Oberlin Annual Fund

The Oberlin Annual Fund encourages support of Oberlin and educates potential donors about the importance of annual giving to sustain Oberlin’s tradition of scholastic excellence, academic innovation, and musical artistry. These current use funds support scholarship, student life, and teaching and learning programs.

Development Operations and Communications

The office of Development Operations oversees the offices of Donor Relations, Development Resources, and Development IT.

Gift Planning

The Office of Gift Planning is responsible for the deferred giving program, which includes bequests, charitable remainder trusts, charitable gift annuities, and the pooled income fund. The office also handles all gifts of stock, tangible personal property, and real estate.

Major Gifts

The Major Gifts staff travels the country to work with Oberlin College alumni and friends to identify individual giving opportunities for annual, endowed, and planned giving. Our gifts officers work to encourage giving at the $50,000 level and above, providing support for faculty, student, and facilities projects.

Parent and Family Giving

The Parent and Family Giving staff travels the country to work with Oberlin College parents to identify individual giving opportunities for annual, endowed, and planned giving. Our gifts officers work to encourage giving at the $50,000 level and above, providing support for faculty, student, and facilities projects.

Alumni Relations

The Office of Alumni Relations is dedicated to sustaining lifelong relationships with alumni by providing opportunities to engage with Oberlin College and the community.
