In addition to the $100 application fee, there is a $350 competition fee. This fee is included with housing fees below for those staying in a campus residence hall, and eating in the campus dining hall.

On-Campus Housing

Double and single residence hall rooms are available with a meal plan for all three meals. Rooms are not air-conditioned and do not include a private bathroom; however, the shared bathroom facilities include private showers. The housing plan includes:

Thursday, July 12 arrival to Saturday, July 21 departure: 9 nights, and meals at the dining hall
Thursday, July 12 dinner through Saturday, July 21 breakfast

Please note that all fees are nonrefundable. We are unable to grant partial reimbursement should you choose to depart before July 21.

Competitor’s on-campus room and meal charge includes competition fee:

Single Room ($1,000)
Double Room/Per Person ($950/per person) — 2 people in one room, separate beds

Non-Competitor - Family on-campus room and meal charge:

Parents or guardians accompanying a participant are also invited to stay in the dormitory in a private room ($650), or share a room with you ($600 per extra person). Everyone in the residence hall must also eat at the dining hall. For example, if a parent and competitor are sharing a room in the dormitory, the total cost is: $1,550. If the parent and the competitor each have single rooms, the cost is: $1,650.

You are welcome to arrive a day or two early. Cost per night, per person is $30. Before dinner on Thursday, July 12 and after breakfast on Saturday, July 21, meals are on your own. You may purchase separate meal tickets at the dining hall or enjoy a meal at one of the many restaurants in town.

You are welcome to stay in an area hotel or bed and breakfast. There is a block of rooms held until June 12 for the Cooper Competition at the Hotel at Oberlin should you like to call in and book a room at the Hotel.
