Biography

Chris Donaldson currently serves as Assistant Dean for Inclusion and Belonging in Oberlin’s Multicultural Resource Commons.  He works closely with Black and Latin-X male identifying students, Undocumented Students, serves as the Posse 15 Mentor and oversees the MRC Program Assistant program.  In addition, Chris works with student athletes on time management and adjustment issues, and helps to promote dialogue on campus.  Dean Donaldson grew up in Oberlin and attended Oberlin College, representing the fourth of five generations in his family to graduate.  At Oberlin, Chris was a two-sport athlete and a 1991 inductee into the Ohio Baseball Hall of Fame as the first annual recipient of the Moses Fleetwood Walker Award. He graduated in 1997 with a degree in Africana studies.

Chris lives in Lakewood, Ohio with his wife Rachel and three kids; Sarah, Ava and Nyle.  Chris enjoys traveling, reading, doing home improvement projects, and watching and attending sporting events.
