Oberlin’s Music Leadership career community is designed to equip students with the skills and training to become future leaders in the music industry.
Students in this community will explore arts leadership topics spanning multiple professions in the field while building their own professional portfolio. Inside and outside the classroom, community members will engage directly with professionals in the music industry through visiting lectures, workshops, and paid summer internships.
During the spring ’20 semester, workshops for the Music Leadership career community will take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on the following Mondays: 2/10, 2/17, 2/24, 3/2, 3/9, and 3/16.
Leadership skills will be in demand whatever your destination in the music industry – concert hall, jazz venue, museum, music festival, gallery space, recording studio, nonprofit organization, for-profit company, or your own business. There is a wide variety of opportunities and employers in this sector, and there is plenty of room for you to create your own initiative.
