New Campus Parking Options Arrive for Fall 2025

Campus Safety

Multiple new campus parking options will become available this fall, made possible by the completion of several major construction projects. In all, three new parking lots will provide more than 300 new parking spaces for students, employees, and visitors.

The newly completed lots are located on Woodland Street, at the new Woodland Hall student residence, and North Professor Street, adjacent to the softball field.

By mid-September, an additional lot will be completed on Lorain Street, between Wilder Hall and the Service Building, immediately north of Mudd Center. The Lorain Street lot replaces the temporary lot used in recent years by construction vehicles associated with Oberlin’s Sustainable Infrastructure Program, the initiative that made campus carbon neutrality possible.

For students, new opportunities for parking are available in the 226-space lot at Woodland Hall and the 70-space lot on North Professor Street.

For faculty and staff, 45 new parking spaces are available at the south end of the Woodland Hall lot, across from the Science Center. Some 20 new faculty/staff spaces are anticipated in the Lorain Street lot, which will also include designated spaces for short-term parking, Wilder Hall loading and unloading, and for residents of the adjacent student houses on Lorain Street.

Also new this month: The Woodland Hall parking lot now includes two Level II EV charging stations for use by students, faculty, and staff—the first publicly available charging stations on campus. Stay tuned for details in the Campus Digest.
