Dear Class of 2021,
We are pleased to share important updates regarding your Senior Celebration slated for Friday, May 14, 2021. After consultation with local health officials and reviewing campus COVID data, the Commencement & Reunion Weekend Committee has determined that graduates eligible to participate in person will be able to invite two guests to their commencement. Information about the availability of the Hotel at Oberlin will be forthcoming.
The college will hold two ceremonies of celebration: one at 9 a.m. and the other at 2 p.m. at the Austin E. Knowlton Athletics Complex. We are finalizing details for each ceremony and will share that information in the coming weeks. If you have questions regarding in-person participation, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Virtual opportunities for family and friends to participate in the celebration will also be available on our website and, if possible, in various physically distant locations on campus.

The committee is eager to offer a prestigious opportunity for graduates to apply to serve as the Student Commencement Speaker. The application is due no later than 5 p.m., Friday, April 16, 2021.
