Thursday is the deadline for student COVID-19 vaccine
All students are required to upload a COVID-19 vaccine card showing that they have received all COVID-19 vaccines by Thursday, October 7. Any student requesting an exemption must do so by October 7. If you were not able to obtain a vaccine due to arriving from an international destination, make sure that you contact firstname.lastname@example.org to request a review for an extension. Last Chance: Today is the last day for walk-in COVID testing at Hales Gym
All Oberlin students, faculty, and staff are required to be tested for COVID-19 at the start of the fall 2021 semester. Today is the last day of the walk-in test center at Hales Gym. The test is a self-administered PCR test, and unlike the past, there is no need to schedule an appointment. The center is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today. If you were unable to get a test, contact email@example.com.
Required weekly COVID testing for unvaccinated students, faculty and staff
Unvaccinated students, faculty and staff are required to have a weekly COVID-19 test as part of the ObieSafe commitment. If you are in the process of being vaccinated, you must test until you are two weeks past the final dose as this is when full immunity occurs. Weekly testing is October 5 through December 15 at Hales Gym. Please note there will be no testing the week of Thanksgiving (November 23, 24 and 25.) Walk-in testing will be available 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and noon to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Masks required indoors and outdoors
Beginning September 27 and lasting until October 18:
- Masks are required indoors and outdoors.
- The only time you may take off your mask is when you are in your room alone or with your roommate.
- Masks may be removed while eating outdoors or alone in your room with your roommate. There is no dining indoors through October 18.

The outdoor mask requirement may be extended depending on the rate of infection identified in the arrival period.
