From the ObieSafe FAQ

Q. What should I do if I test positive for COVID-19?

A. You should:

  • Isolate for five days regardless of symptoms or vaccination status.
  • If after five days you do not have a fever, and other symptoms are getting better, you can end isolation and resume activities. Wear a mask for the next five days.
  • If you still have a fever or other symptoms after five days, stay in isolation until your fever is gone and other symptoms are better. If you live on campus and still have symptoms, reach out to student health for assistance evaluating whether you need to extend your isolation. When your isolation ends, wear a mask for the next five days.
  • If you have not let the ObieSafe team know of your positive test result, please reach out to them at obiesafe@oberlin.edu as soon as possible so they can arrange for the resources you need.
  • For additional information and details about Oberlin’s current testing protocol, see the Winter 2021-22 FAQ.
