Final day of COVID testing in 2020

The last day of December COVID-19 Testing is Friday, December 18. If you have an appointment this week, please make every effort to keep your existing appointment if possible. A limited number of appointments are still available Wednesday, December 16, through Friday, December 18, and can be scheduled through your unique link. Walk-in appointments are not permitted. If you no longer have your link, please email covid.testing@oberlin.edu.

Sign up for January and February tests through OberView

Students, faculty, and staff who will be on campus this spring and do not have a health restriction precluding them from being tested must be screened for COVID-19. Please schedule your January 2021 COVID-19 test. You will receive a separate email to schedule monthly appointments when testing schedules are available for sign-up.

Begin by watching this video tutorial on how to schedule your test. Beginning in January, you will schedule all of your COVID-19 tests through the COVID-19 Test Appointment Scheduling task in OberView. This new scheduling system allows you to view your own upcoming appointments and reschedule through OberView as needed. Read more about what to expect on your test day.

Questions we've been asked: Study Away

Q. Based on the new calendar start dates for spring and summer, this means sophomores planning to study away in fall 2021 would need to take a leave for the summer term to study away in fall, as the summer semester ends after some of the study away semesters begin. What options are available for those sophomores so they can graduate with their class, or will they be part of the 2024 class now? If they are accepted to a program for the fall 2021 can they submit an appeal to be on campus spring 2021 if space is available?

A. Even with the recent adjustment to Oberlin’s academic calendar, students will still have plenty of study away opportunities in the summer and fall of 2021. However, each student’s academic situation will be unique this year and next, and we’re still carefully monitoring the COVID landscape and how it will impact study away. Any student interested in pursuing study away in the upcoming summer or fall is encouraged to contact the Office of Study Away (study.away@oberlin.edu) so that we can provide personalized support and guidance.
