For years I'd sit back down in those stiff, little chair-desk contraptions for the first time in 3 months, and the o'so original "fun" assignment would be announced, "Class, what did you do this summer?" I'd go blank and turn in a page of nonsense about "staying home" and going "places." Now, it's not that this was necessarily true - my family and I took the occasional summer outing, and I had fun summers doing stuff - the problem is that's what it always amounted to in my own extensive vocabulary: "stuff."
So, even though I'm majoring in creative writing all these years later and will be taking a nonfiction seminar this semester, I decided to avoid the little essay about stuff and review my summer in a series of short comics, specifically comic-gif-things. There I go again, with my brilliant powers of expression in the English language.
If it looks like the last comic doesn't really fit with the others, that's because I found my groove 2/3rds of the way in - that just so happened to be after a few days of work on the first two comics, so they may look a little disjointed.
