Amani Green serves as Assistant Director for Career Readiness in the Career Development Center, where she provides one-on-one career advising and facilitates career development programming for students and alumni. Green leads the medical, public, and global health professions and science and technology career communities. She is excited to work with students to achieve their career goals and to build relationships with alumni and employers within the health and STEM fields.
Green was a pre-med student in college, and later attended the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA before deciding to make a career change into higher education administration. Her master’s research examined the effect of shared values affirmation on perceived sense of belonging in underrepresented students on college campuses. Before coming to Oberlin, Green served as an admission counselor at Case Western Reserve University, as a program coordinator at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and as a student advisor for the Stanford Bing Overseas Studies Program in Cape Town, South Africa.
In her free time, Green enjoys watching women’s gymnastics, reading, musical theater, spending time with her family, and traveling internationally.
