While we hope to celebrate the end of the academic year with Commencement and Reunion Weekend, we have decided to place a hold on registration. We continue to consult with public health officials regarding our ability to host large public gatherings. Please consult the college's information page regarding the coronavirus for regular updates. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time of uncertainty.
Refer to Visiting Oberlin for campus maps, detailed directions to Oberlin, and additional transportation services information. For additional information about rideshare services from Cleveland Hopkins Airport, please visit the Cleveland Hopkins Airport Parking & Transportation page.
Need a Ride? Try Group Carpool!
Use your trip as a mini-reunion and find other Oberlin alumni and friends in your region with whom to travel using GroupCarpool. Go to www.groupcarpool.com/t/s9iqn0 to ask for or offer a ride.
Download a campus map that shows parking areas for Friday through Sunday.
Rent a bike from the Oberlin Bicycle Co-Operative, located in the basement at the rear of Keep Cottage (154 N. Main Street). Bikes can be rented by the day or the weekend. The Bike Co-Op accepts cash or checks, but not credit cards. Locks will not be provided, so please bring your own lock from home. If you have questions about the Co-Op’s Bike Rental program, please contact the Oberlin Bicycle Co-Operative at email@example.com or visit the Bike Co-Op Facebook page.
Important Information for Guests with Special Needs
Guests with special needs, including but not limited to accessibility, housing requirements, and food allergies, should indicate their needs during the registration process. We will do our best to provide a maximum level of comfort to all returning alumni, parents and guests. Please inform us of special needs as far in advance as possible, as such arrangements may require time to coordinate. Every reasonable attempt will be made to meet the requests. If you require special personal assistance, please make plans to bring a care provider with you to campus.
While we will try to accommodate guests with mobility issues, some buildings on campus are not accessible to everyone. Guests in wheelchairs or those who use electric scooters, crutches, walkers, etc., may not be able to comfortably stay in or visit all buildings on campus. We apologize for this inconvenience. Additionally, there are very limited facilities for those with special needs such as private baths, wheelchair ramps, and accessible bathrooms. We recommend you consider reserving lodging in a local hotel or bed and breakfast.
Wheelchair & Scooter Rental
Wheelchairs and a limited number of electric scooters will be available from the Commencement/Reunion Welcome Center for a flat weekend fee of $30 (wheelchair) or $50 (scooter). Quantities are limited, so please call the Office of Alumni Engagement at 440.775.8692 or firstname.lastname@example.org to make a reservation. A Visa or MasterCard is required when you call, but you will not be charged until the device is picked up.
Wheelchairs must be returned by 1:45 p.m. on Monday, May 25, or you will be charged a $35 late fee.
Sign Language Interpretation
An American Sign Language interpreter will be available during the Crimson and Gold Convocation and Presidential Address, Multifaith Baccalaureate Celebration, and Commencement exercises. Closed captioning will also be available for the commencement ceremony. Please note on the reservation form if you need to be near the speaker’s platform.
