Recycling Rockstars

Robert Chew ’09, originally from Norwalk, CT, loves to recycle almost as much as he loves to eat. Some of his interests include backpacking, reading, playing guitar and viola, singing, people watching, and drawing crude caricatures with crayons. When not napping between classes, he enthusiastically plans on majoring in Environmental Studies and
Economics.

Office hour: Wednesday 1-2

Lara Nagle, '09, experiences symptoms indicative of both insanity and tactlessness; she never keeps her crazy thought processes quiet when she ought to. You should approach her with no inhibition and a functional sense of humor for best discussion results. She believes that efficient reuse and recycling puts a fire inside of people that keeps on burning even after they've rehydrated.*

Office hour: Wednesday 3-4

Rebecca Caine, '10, always looks in recycling bins to check that everything in there is recyclable. If it's not recyclable, she fishes it out and places it in the adjacent trash can. Her passion for recycling is matched by her love of good books. She also enjoys sewing, having adventures, and not being lonely.

Office hour: Monday 3-4

Zibby Greenebaum '09 enjoys recycling. She enjoys eating as well. She generally does not eat recycling. She usually sticks to food such as the sandwich pictured here. She loves a good sandwich. Along with environmental studies, she would like to form her life around a few of her other loves: early education and art.

Kirsten Zook '09

Office hour: Tuesday 3-4

Kate Coury, '10, is from Port Huron, Michigan. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle is actually her personal motto. She enjoys nature walks, playing, and spending time with people. She is also an avid gardener. One day she wants to bike across Michigan and Canada. First she needs a bike. Her dying words will be "keep cool but care." These are also good words to live by.

Office hour: Monday 10-11

Livia Capaldi, 10

Office hour: Thursday 1-2

StaciaStacia Thompson, '11, is from Easthampton, MA. She loves to crush and recycle aluminum cans. She plans to major in Environmental Studies and Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies.

Office hour: Tuesday 1-2

madelineMadeline Marvar, '11, is in love with Ohio. She is also in love with fruit, places that serve breakfast 24 hours a day, and bright baby blue bins brimming with bottles begging to be reborn. Her interests include Captain Planet, chastising people who don't print double-sided, putting marshmallow Peeps in the microwave and napping face down in the grass. She fully believes in the six degrees of separation and the seven generations of sustainability.

Office hour: Wednesday 11-noon.
