Home Introduction   Faculty & Staff   Syllabi   Curriculum Transfer of Credit   Oberlin Initiatives in Electoral Politics   Department Prizes	The Aaron Wildavsky Memorial Prize - This Prize is awarded annually to the student(s) who is/are designated by the Politics Department to be the best graduating senior(s) specializing in American politics and public policy. 2007 Recipients: EVELYN LEVINE and HANNAH NEPRASH The Comfort Starr Prize - This Prize is awarded by the Politics Department for excellence in college work in Politics. 2007 Recipients: JANINE HEISER, EVELYN LEVINE, GABRIEL MORDEN-SNIPPER, HANNAH NEPRASH, and CAITLIN TOM The John D. Lewis Memorial Prize - This Prize is awarded to the outstanding student of Political Theory. The John D. Lewis Memorial Prize was established in honor of longtime Oberlin faculty member and political theorist John D. Lewis (1905-1988).Professor Lewis graduated from Oberlin College in 1928 and returned in 1935 as a member of the Department of Government faculty, where he remained until retirement in 1972. The John D. Lewis Memorial Lectureship Fund was also established as a memorial to Professor Lewis. The lectureship supports annual visits by distinguished politcal theorists to Oberlin College. 2007 Recipients: TYLER FINN and CAITLIN TOM
