Kristina Mani, Assistant Professor of Politics, received her B.S. (1991) in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, and her M.A. (1996) and Ph.D. (2004) in Political Science from Columbia University. She teaches courses on international relations, Latin American politics, and nonviolent strategies of action. Her research interests include linkages between democratization and international security, the role of militaries in post-authoritarian societies, and nonstate security actors. Ms. Mani has also served as an academic consultant for the International Center for Nonviolent Conflict in Washington, DC. Spring 2008 Publications Militaries
