July 3 – Oberlin College head women’s soccer coach Kristen Hayden announced the hiring of Brian Irwin as an assistant coach.
July 1 – The Oberlin College athletics department has partnered with Internet Consulting Services (ICS) to launch a state-of-the-art athletics website. The new web home of OC athletics, which is scheduled for a July 15 launch, will be www.goyeo.com.

recruiting class. Each month until the beginning of
the season, the Oberlin athletics web site will take
a look at several high school senior football players
who have committed to become a member of the Oberlin
football team's class of 2012. For this month's second edition, we are proud to introduce future Yeomen Adam Lowther, Sean Curtis and Josh Mandel.
Baseball Announces 2009 Captains
June 18 – Oberlin College head baseball coach Eric Lahetta has announced that seniors P.J. Carter, Jeremy Simon and Brian Verne along with junior Jack Dunn will serve as team captains for the 2009 season.
June 17 – Former Oberlin College athletic standouts and class of 2007 graduates, Jessie Oram and Seth Binder have created a blog detailing their lives they continue to play sports overseas.
Oberlin Football Preseason Prospectus
June 16 - Coming off of a sensational 2007 season where they finished third in the North Coast Athletic Conference with a 5-2 record, the Oberlin College football team is poised for another outstanding year in 2008. Head coach Jeff Ramsey’s team returns 13 starters from a year ago, including NCAC Offensive Player of the Year R.V. Carroll at running back and veteran quarterback Greg Mangan.

June 10 – Head women’s volleyball coach Carey Cavanaugh announced the addition of seven incoming first-years to her program this fall.
Kinney Receives Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar Award
June 9 – Recent Oberlin College graduate and former women’s basketball player Roneisha Kinney was named as a third-team Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar selection as announced in the latest issue of Diverse Issues in Higher Education magazine
