Arlo Guthrie Packs Them into Finney

Folk legend Arlo Guthrie was the headline act of the campus entertainment during this fall's Parents Weekend (September 26 and 27). He performed his Saturday night concert in a packed Finney Chapel to an enthusiastic and appreciative audience. Son of the equally legendary folk singer Woody Guthrie, Arlo performed his own songs, as well as songs by his father and Bob Dylan. When the concert ended the audience applauded tirelessly, until Guthrie finally returned to the stage for two encore numbers. "A jam-packed Finney Chapel loved every last note," said the reporter for The Oberlin Review, the campus student newspaper.
