Student-Athletes Honored
Five senior student-athletes were recognized in May for their accomplishments both on and off the field.
- Soccer player Elizabeth Baron received the Gertrude E. Moulton Scholarship, which is awarded to a woman who makes significant contributions to physical education and gives promise of perpetuating the ideals and character Dr. Moulton believed meaningful.
- Bethany Pribila, a member of the women's tennis team, was the recipient of the Honda Scholar Athlete Award, given to the senior female athlete who demonstrates outstanding athletic achievement as well as academic excellence, community involvement, and leadership skills.
- The Jason Chicoine Memorial Athletic Leadership Prize, presented annually to a senior member of the men's varsity soccer team, went to David Kumpe.
- Swimmer Eric Nordstrom and runner Shannon Fox accepted the North Coast Athletic Conference/John N. Stern Scholar Athlete Award. This award recognizes students who perform with distinction on varsity teams and who demonstrate strong character and high ideals; students must also have a grade-point average of 3.2 or higher.
