During her playing days, at Oberlin as a member of the women's basketball team, Gilbert was one of the top Division III athletes in the country. "The goal of student-athletes at Oberlin is to excel both in the classroom and on the court," states Gilbert. "Through hard work and dedication, they strive to reach their full potential academically and athletically. Being a student-athlete at Oberlin, one of the most prominent liberal arts colleges in the country, is truly a special and unique experience."
