Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE)

AASHE is a membership-based association of colleges and universities working to advance sustainability in higher education in the U.S. and Canada. Their mission is to promote sustainability in all sectors of higher education - from governance and operations to curriculum and outreach - through education, communication, research and professional development. Businesses, NGO's, and government agencies can participate as AASHE partner members.


U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC)

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is the nation’s foremost coalition of leaders from every sector of the building industry working to promote buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work. Their more than 7,500 member organizations and network of 75 regional chapters are united to advance the USGBC’s mission of transforming the building industry to sustainability.


Greater Cleveland Green Building Coalition

The Greater Cleveland Green Building Coalition is a nonprofit organization created to inform civic, business and building industry leaders as well as the general public about the economic, health and aesthetic benefits of green building.


The Great Lakes College’s Association

The mission of the Great Lakes Colleges Association is to take actions that will help strengthen and preserve their member colleges, a consortium of twelve private liberal arts colleges located in Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio, and by being a leading force on behalf of education in the tradition of the liberal arts and sciences. Rich in tradition, GLCA will continue to enhance their colleges by leading as new areas of opportunity and challenge emerge.

American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment

The American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment (ACUPCC) is a high-visibility effort by higher education leaders to address global warming through specific institutional commitments to reduce and ultimately neutralize greenhouse gas emissions on campus and educate the next generation of leaders and professionals to help society to do the same. http://www.presidentsclimatecommitment.org/
