Nov. 28, 11:10 a.m. Parents of a student reported they were in town to visit their son, but were not able to make contact. They requested assistance in locating him. After several attempts to locate the student, he returned to his dorm later in the evening.

Nov. 29, 1:04 a.m. Officers and the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm on second floor Kade. The cause of the alarm was found to be a malfunction in the system.

Nov. 29, 3:39 a.m. Officers and the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at South Hall. The cause of the alarm was found to be a malfunctioning smoke detector.

Nov. 29, 9:35 a.m. Officers and the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at the Oberlin Inn. A detector was activated by steam from the shower.

Nov. 30, 7:30 p.m. A resident of Fairchild reported unknown persons had entered her room while she was at a party the night before and vomited in her room. The room was unlocked at the time.

Dec. 1, 2:08 a.m. Student staff at the Security Office reported she slipped and fell injuring her left leg while exiting the building. Medical treatment was declined at the time of the fall.

Dec. 1, 6:25 p.m. Staff at the DeCafe reported an attempted theft of food items. The subject was approached and returned the item.

Dec. 2, 12:49 a.m. An officer on patrol observed graffiti on a brass placard at the arches in Tappan Square. A work order was filed for clean up.

Dec. 2, 7:15 a.m. A student reported the theft of her bicycle from the east door of Lord. The bicycle is a Huffy Superia, turquoise in color, valued at $150.00.

Dec. 3, 10:40 a.m. A student reported locating his missing bicycle on the east side of Wilder Hall. Ownership was verified and the bicycle was returned to the owner.

Dec. 3, 12:45 p.m. A resident of Barrows Hall reported her bicycle stolen from the east side of Barrows. The bicycle is a Trek mountain bike 800, blue and black in color, valued at $150.00. The bicycle was unlocked at the time of theft.

Dec. 3, 4:05 p.m. A resident of Noah Hall reported an odor of marijuana on the south side of the firstfloor. A resident in the area reported burning incense earlier. The matter was referred to Student Life and Services.

Dec. 3, 7:12 p.m. Officers responded to a trouble alarm alert in East Hall. Upon investigation, the center head of a smoke detector was found to be removed in a student’s room, which caused the alert. The item was replaced and the alarms re-activated.

Dec. 3, 9:57 p.m. A staff member reported falling on black ice in the east parking lot of the Service Building. The staff member was transported by ambulance to Allen Medical Center for treatment of a broken ankle.

Dec. 4, 7:50 a.m. A student reported falling on the ice on Harkness Drive and injuring her right leg. The student was transported to Allen Medical Center for treatment.
