OC Programmers Compete

On Saturday, Nov. 9, two teams represented Oberlin in an annual regional computer-programming contest.
The contest was held at Ashland University as well as at three other sites in the East Central North American region which includes Ohio, Indiana, Ontario, Michigan and western Pennsylvania.
The Oberlin-Oriented Program-mers, composed of seniors Ian Biringer, Jed Davis and Alec Heller, in a five hour block, solved six of eight programming problems, placing fifth out of a total of 131 teams. They ranked first among the 45 teams at the Ashland site.
