May 3, 11:52 a.m. Safety and Security Officers and Oberlin Fire Department units responded to a fire alarm at Barrows Hall. The alarm was activated by dust in a hallway detector.

May 3, 4:45 p.m. A student reported he witnessed the theft of a large trash can from the first floor of South Hall by a subject who appeared to be college-aged. The trash can was later recovered and returned to South Hall.

May 4, 3:00 a.m. A resident of Dascomb requested assistance with an intoxicated student. Officers responded and the student was transported to Allen Medical Center for observation.

May 4, 4:10 a.m. Officers were requested a Langston Hall to assist with an ill student from alcohol consumption. The student was transported by ambulance to Allen Medical Center for treatment.

May 4, 7:38 p.m. A Safety and Security Officer on patrol observed a student drive his vehicle on the grass area between Noah and Zechiel. The student was advised against his actions.

May 5, 6:30 p.m. A Safety and Security Officer responded to the south side of the Security Office to assist a subject who fell injuring her right shoulder, right hand and knee. The subject was taken to Allen Medical Center for treatment.

May 5, 6 p.m. The manager of Wilder DeCafe reported the theft of items valued at approximately $3.50. The incident is under investigation.

May 7, 12:35 p.m. Safety and Security Officers and Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Peters Hall. It was learned the detector in the air handler unit was malfunctioning. A work order was placed for repairs.

May 7, 5:30 p.m. A staff member reported a vehicle on the north athletic fields. The owner was located and advised to remove the vehicle. No damage was observed.

May 8, 4 p.m. A resident of Barrows reported vandalism outside her room door. Food was stuffed in envelopes and smeared on the floor and shaving cream was sprayed. Custodians were contacted for clean up.
