28, 5:25 p.m. A student reported the theft of a boom box and 15
CDs from the Lord lounge. The boom box is a Magnavox, black in color
and the CDs were in a gray CD holder. Value of the missing items
is unknown.
March
1, 5:15 p.m. A student reported the theft of her bicycle from the
north end of Dascomb Hall. The bicycle is a Diamondback Outlook,
21 speed, blue/silver and black in color, valued at $230.
March
1, 6:25 p.m. A student reported her bicycle missing from outside
of Hales Gym. The bicycle is a Specialized Hard Rock, 18 speed,
blue and green in color, valued at $150. The bicycle was unlocked
at the time of theft.

1, 9:21 p.m. An anonymous person reported a strong odor of marijuana
in Langston Hall on the first floor. The responsible parties were
located and referred to Student Life and Services.

1, 9:57 p.m. A student reported being verbally harassed by four
college-aged males in a silver or gray SUV on West Lorain Street
in front of the New Science Center. Oberlin Police Department was
also notified; the subjects were unable to be located.

1, 11:50 p.m. Allen Medical Center reported an ambulance enroute
to Langston Hall to assist an ill student from alcohol consumption.
Officers responded and the student was transported for treatment.

2, 12:35 a.m. An anonymous person reported an illegal party on the
first floor of East Hall. Officers responded and the party was shut
down.

2, 1:58 a.m. Staff at Langston Hall reported an underaged student
consuming alcohol in the hallway at Langston. The student was located
and warned about his actions.

2, 10:40 a.m. A student turned in a completely discharged fire extinguisher
found outside of Talcott Hall. Officers checked the area and found
an extinguisher missing from Baldwin kitchen, which was replaced.

3, 5:10 a.m. Staff from the Oberlin Inn reported a towns person
sleeping in a chair on the second floor. Safety and Security Officers
and Oberlin Police Department responded. The subject was located
and escorted from the Inn.

3, 7:05 p.m. A resident of Burton Hall reported unknown person(s)
discharged a fire extinguisher in the basement of Burton Hall. A
work order was filed for clean-up.
March
3, 9:31 p.m. A Safety and Security officer on patrol witnessed a
motor vehicle accident in Wilder parking lot. There were no injuries
and minor damage to the vehicles.

4, 4:20 p.m. A Safety and Security officer on patrol, observed three
males enter the west gym of Philips through the north doors. The
subjects were located, identified and explained the procedures for
entering the gym.

5, 2:54 a.m. Officers responded to Dascomb to assist a student who
may have broken a rib. The student was transported to Allen Medical
Center for treatment.

5, 11:33 a.m. A student reported the theft of a bicycle seat and
tire from her bicycle while parked on the west side of the Conservatory.
The items are valued at $40.
March
5, 8:30 p.m. Safety and Security officers and Oberlin Fire Department
units responded to a fire alarm at Hales Gym. The cause of the alarm
was found to be a malfunction in the system.

5, 9:02 p.m. Safety and Security officers and Oberlin Fire Department
units responded to a fire alarm in the basement of Keep. The cause
was found to be a malfunctioning detector.
