America Must Send Forceful Message

To the Editors:

I don’t want peace. I want war. If the events of Black Tuesday do not lead you to this conclusion, then I don’t know what will. I also don’t know who to be more afraid of: the terrorists against a free life or the politically insane and pseudo-intellectuals at home that seek to validate the opinions of terrorists and terrorists’ nations. For decades America has had a foreign policy of appeasement towards terrorists and the nations who harbor those persons. The result has been to welcome this
recent aggression. For decades America has sought to negotiate with criminals with a gun in her mouth. This must stop with the decisive actions of many many bombs. For decades we have known which countries have given shelter and support to terrorists. It is now time for Americato pronounce a judgment of death and military occupation on such nations (i.e. Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Libya, Palestine, Sudan, Yemen and Syria). Terrorists and supporting nations cannot murder Americans and get away with it any longer. Now we must attack with military might. (Yes I know innocent people in targeted nations will die. I accept that. If they did not fight against their government and remained under such conditions, then I do not distinguish them from the terrorists.) After all the United States is entitled to self-defense. I love New York City for its embodiment of the American spirit.
As many people in America, I reacted with the mixed emotions of shock and anger, but most of all a feeling of having been violated. I will not bend over and take it; not in my backyard. Thus I do not agree at all with the non-patriots who think we should respond with restraint and compromise. The time for restraint has passed. You cannot compromise with a madman. A friend so eloquently said: When a thief is in your house wanting to steal everything, you do not offer him half. You defend your property. This goes for America. How much more of America has to be destroyed before the politically insane realize that it is time for war? Wake up to reality. America was viciously attacked and its citizens slaughtered. I am angry and I don’t ever want to forget this anger or relent in any way. America needs to stay angry, and in fact America needs more anger. Lighting candles, praying or singing hymns is not a solution or sign of solidarity. God did not get us into this and God will not get us out.
America has to send a clear message that we will no longer tolerate any terrorism on our shores. Right now America’s military is acting properly and carefully to gather the intelligence needed to focus its tactics and win this new war. You are either an American or not. You either want to see terrorism and harboring nations beaten with the wrath of freedom-loving peoples or you want the whip of the communist regime on your back. America needs to immediately recognize its value as a civilization of individual rights and have the courage to fight and defend those freedoms.
