The following is a compilation of weekly reports from the Office of Safety and Security.

Mar. 28, 8:50 p.m. An officer responded to a report from a staff member of the theft of one pair of NY Company black jeans and one pair of black boot cut polyester pants, total value at $95, from the laundry room at Burton Hall. The theft occurred sometime between Sunday, March 26 and Tuesday, March 28.

Mar. 31, 5:33 a.m. An officer responded to a report from a staff member of two suspicious males in Union Street Lot. The males fled when approached by officers. A car stereo was found on the west side of the lot and a 1999 Chevy Metro was located with the passenger window shattered. Safety and Security and the Oberlin Police Department are investigating the incident.

Apr. 1, 12:06 p. m. An officer and the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in the basement on Harkness. The alarm was activated by smoke from burning toast.

Apr. 3, 9:10 a.m. An officer and the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in Robertson. The alarm was caused by a malfunctioning smoke detector.

Apr. 4, 12:50 a.m. An officer and the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at the Oberlin Inn. The alarm was caused by a malfunctioning smoke detector.

Apr. 4, 11:48 a.m. An officer responded to a report from a staff member of the theft of a student's black and gray Old Navy book bag, gray fleece pullover jacket and gray wool jacket from the third floor of Mudd. The book bag contained red scissors, small stapler, Sarabandi eyeglasses in a black case, valued at $225 and Olympus Style LTD valued at $181. Safety and Security and the Oberlin Police Department are investigating the incident.

Apr. 4, 2:30 p.m. An officer responded to a report from a student of the theft of her bicycle, a red women's 10 speed from behind Keep sometime during spring break. The bicycle is a rental from the Bicycle Co-op and is registered with the Oberlin Police Department.

Apr. 4, 4:45 p.m. An officer responded to a report from a student of the theft of his brown leather bi-fold wallet from Warner Center. The wallet contained $35 cash, drivers license, ATM card and gas card.

Apr. 4, 6:45 p.m. March for RomeroAn officer responded to a report from a staff member of graffiti in the service elevator of Stevenson.

Apr. 4, 10:01 p.m. An officer responded to a report from a staff member of two students discharging fireworks from the third floor balcony of Tank. The fireworks were confiscated and it was explained that fireworks are illegal in the state of Ohio.

Apr. 5, 12:07 a.m. An officer on routine patrol located graffiti on the second floor of Mudd.
