The following is a compilation of weekly reports from the Office of Safety and Security.

Mar. 9, 5:26 a.m. An officer responded to a report from a student of the theft of his green Jansport backpack, containing various items including a notebook and daily planner, from next to a tree in front of Barnard. The backpack was left unattended for about five minutes. Mar. 10, 10:30 a.m. An officer responded to a report from a faculty member of the theft of a 4' by 6' map some time between March 1 and March 10 and the theft of a small Concert Mate electric keyboard sometime between Fall semester and March 10 from room 223 in the Conservatory. The keyboard was valued at $65. Mar. 10, 8:23 p.m. An officer responded to a report from a student of a harassing message on her dorm room billboard and medication missing from her room. Mar. 10, 6:14 p.m. An officer and the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Noah Hall. The alarm was caused by a malfunction in the alarm system. Mar. 13, 3:25 p.m. An officer responded to a report from a staff person of the theft of his Motorola cell phone from his black carry bag in Philips Gym on Saturday, March 11 between noon and 4 p.m. The bag was left unattended for a short time in the equipment room lobby. Mar. 14, 4:06 a.m. An officer received a report from the Oberlin Police Department of two Oberlin College students cited for disorderly conduct and public intoxication on North Professor Street.
