Love me tender: They are violent and battered, inarticulate and yearning to speak, dangerous and vulnerable. They are Danny and Roberta in John Patrick Shanley's one act play "Danny and the Deep Blue Sea." Roberta, sophomore Jessica Kapelke-Dale, is worn out, physically and emotionally depleted, heading into her thirties. Kapelke-Dale captures Roberta's story of a woman on the brink of eruption, struggling to forget her difficult past. Danny, played by first-year Terence Leclere, captivates the audience with his dynamo, dark eyed Danny. Danny, a street thug by trade has also come to the end of his line. Thus the story begins. - Brendan T. Cody (photo by Ben Rosen)

Danny and the Deep Blue Sea goes up Thurs. Fir. and Sat. at 6:00 p.m. in the basement of Campus Restaurant.
