Cleveland is getting its dose of Oberlin this week. We've got spicy Obie indie rock in Cleveland this week with Hantai. Lots of photography exhibits too. So look at culture, or watch it form, but go somewhere to do it. So much to explore...

Hantai, one of Oberlin's own indie rock bands, is playing at Speak in Tongues tonight in Cleveland. Show is at 9 p.m., doors open at 8 p.m. Come support home-grown flava. For tickets, which are $6, and info call (216) 687-3523.

Of Mice And Men, the John Steinbeck classic, will be performed Nov. 15 through 30 at the Ensemble Theatre at the Civic in Cleveland. Call (216) 321-2930 for ticket prices and more information.

Window to Sculpture is an exhibit of sculpture in wood and steel by Michael Spencer. The series is designed to showcase emerging sculpors. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, noon through 4 p.m. For more information call (216) 229-6527.

Karel Paukert and Noriko Fujii, organ and soprano, will perform Dvorák in Spillville on Nov. 17 at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Admission is free, for more information call (216) 421-7340.

Fear and Loving in Minneapolis, a monologue by Kevin Kling, will be performed Nov. 21 through 24 at the Wexner Center, Ohio State University. He humorously deals with coming of age in his "pleasantly warped world view." Tickets are $9, for more information call (614) 292-0330.

Transition/Dislocation: Images of Upheaval is a photography exhibit that investigates societal, governmental and environmental conflicts in our culture. The exhibit, which runs from Nov. 15 to Jan. 27, is at the Cleveland Center for Contemporary Art. For more information, call (216) 421-8671.

Indian Circus, a collection of photographs by Mary Ellen Mark, will be on exhibit at the Cleveland Museum of Art from Nov. 8 to Jan. 16. The show is part of a museum-wide celebration of the arts and culture of India. For more information call (216) 421-7340.

Words and Pictures...Just Like Your Dreams is yet another photography exhibit at the Cleveland Center for Contemporary Art. The Alex Harris show will be held in the Drury Theater of the Cleveland Play House on Nov. 20 at 5 p.m. For more information call (216) 421-8671.
