Yeostabbers host 40

Senior Jason Pinchuck won the foil competition at a fencing tournament held here Nov. 2.

Pinchuck also finished fourth in the epée. Of the five Yeostabbers who competed in the 40-fencer tournament, three made it beyond the first round in their events.

Besides Pinchuck, sophomore Matt Strain made it to the second round in both weapons. First-year Joe Timm also made it to the second round in epée.

The tournament was an open. Among the college teams who showed up were Kent State University and Cleveland State University. Individuals came from as far away as Dayton and Columbus.

Pinchuck is competing in a national circuit tournament in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., this weekend.
