The following is a compilation of weekly reports from the Office of Security.

Feb. 26, 8 p.m. Officers were requested at Fairchild to assist with an injured student. Student had cut his finger on a can. Subject was transported to Allen Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Feb. 23, 1:25 p.m. Officers were requested to meet with Student Life staff in Langston Hall to assist in locating the source of possible controlled substance odor. Investigation pending.

1:25 p.m. A female student reported being attacked by an unknown male subject while walking in the area of South Professor. Officers and Oberlin Police Department responded and checked the area with negative results. Incident is under investigation.

2:33 p.m. Resident of East Hall reported receiving several annoying phone calls. Calls were received at various times in the afternoon and evening. A phone trace was suggested and the complainant was given the number to GTE Nuisance Control.

Feb. 24, 1:04 a.m. Oberlin resident reported a fire at the Oberlin College dump. Officers and Oberlin Fire Department units responded and fire was extinguished.

3:30 p.m. Resident of Asia House reported the theft of his wallet from his unlocked room. The resident gave a description of a suspicious subject who was seen in the area. A check of the building was made with negative results. Wallet contained $30 cash, Indian money and miscellaneous items.

Feb. 25, 4:20 a.m. While on routine patrol of north quad area, officer located an open manhole. The cover was located a short distance away and was placed back on the manhole.

While on routine patrol throughout the morning, officer smelled what appeared to be a natural gas odor in the area of Peters Hall. Oberlin Fire Department also responded, but the source could not be located. Columbia Gas was also notified.

9:15 p.m. Oberlin Police Department advised that a female student had been the victim of an assault while on E. Lorain Street. Officers responded to the Police Department and conferred with the complainant. Incident under investigation.

2:56 p.m. Student reported being verbally harassed by another female driving by in the area of North Professor Street. Vehicle description was obtained. Oberlin Police units and officers checked the area with negative results.

Feb. 26, 1:08 p.m. Officers and Oberlin Fire Department responded to an alarm at Asia House, first floor. All areas were checked, but the cause for the alarm could not be located. Alarms were reset with no further problems.

Feb. 27, 11:55 p.m. Student reported the theft of clothing items from Hales Gym, women's locker. It is unknown when the theft occurred.

Feb. 28, 1:08 a.m. An anonymous student reported that an unknown subject was mistakenly admitted to South Hall. Officers responded and a search of the building was conducted for the subject with negative results.

1:40 a.m. Officers and Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Noah Hall, first floor. Upon arrival it was learned that a student was baking clay pottery in the oven, which got too hot. Smoke activated the alarm. Building was vented and the alarms were reset.
