Vote for Jack Kilroy

To the Editors:

I’m writing to encourage student voters to take a look at Jack Kilroy, one of the candidates for Lorain County Commissioners. If you like what you see, and I bet you will, I encourage you to vote for him next Tuesday.

Jack Kilroy has a long record of fighting for the types of values most Obies hold dear. Jack was the executive director of the Grassroots Leadership program, in which he worked to get grants and money for the redevelopment of local neighborhoods.

An Avon City councilman for six years, he exposed the corruption of the Avon council president and fought for a living wage ordinance. Recently, Jack acted as the campaign manager for Sue Morano, a union leader who ran for State Senate a year and a half ago.

Beyond his commitment to and experience in working for progressive causes, I can say from personal experience working with him that Jack is a hard-working, honest, incredibly intelligent and passionate man whose heart is always in the right place.

I feel very confident that Jack would make an excellent Lorain County Commissioner and that he would accomplish his top goals of keeping the jobs we have in Lorain County and attracting more to the area.

If you’d like to hear more about Jack and his record, feel free to e-mail me, or check out his website at www.electkilroy.org.
